About Us – C.Vale – Cooperativa Agroindustrial
Our Roots & Growth
Founded on November 7, 1963, by 24 pioneering farmers as Campal in Palotina, Paraná, C.Vale emerged to address critical challenges facing its founders: storage shortages, limited market access, and lack of financing and technical support (pt.wikipedia.org). What began as a local wheat-receiving hub quickly evolved—by 1974 it adopted the name “Cooperativa Agrícola Mista Vale do Piquiri”, expanding into Mato Grosso and Santa Catarina by the early 1980s .
A strategic modernization plan in the 1990s, under the leadership of Alfredo Lang, laid the foundation for scalable agroindustrial operations. This culminated in the opening of our flagship complex in 1997—featuring fully integrated and automated poultry slaughtering, enabling traceability from field to final product.
In 2003 we formally became C.Vale – Cooperativa Agroindustrial, and since then, we’ve continuously expanded—doubling poultry capacity in 2005, launching starch and fish processing units, acquiring regional cooperatives (Agropar, Cooatol) by 2021, and entering the tilapia business in 2017 . Today, C.Vale stands among Brazil’s largest single-site cooperatives, backed by 24–27,000 associate farmers, 12–14,000 employees, and 179–196 operational units spanning Brazil and Paraguay
What We Do
C.Vale is a full-cycle agroindustrial cooperative managing everything from crop cultivation to animal protein production and global food exports:
-
Crop & Feed Production: We cultivate soy, corn, wheat, cassava, and milk—and process animal feed and modified starch—benefiting from 2.16% of Brazil’s soybean output (desmet.com).
-
Animal Protein: We operate Brazil’s first fully automated poultry integration system, processing up to 600,000–650,000 chickens per day, alongside pork and tilapia operations (processing ~190,000 tilapia/day) .
-
Value Addition & Retail: We produce cassava starch, animal feed, and offer agronomic/veterinary services. We also run eight supermarkets and sell farm inputs, machinery, and fuel across our regions .
-
Quality & Food Safety: Our facilities hold ISO 9001, BRCGS, HACCP, Global GAP, BAP, Halal, and Kosher certifications—and rigorously maintain full traceability throughout production.
Global Exports: China, Russia, Turkey & Beyond
With a European distribution center in Luxembourg, C.Vale now exports food products to over 80–150 countries worldwide (pt.wikipedia.org). Our cold-chain, refrigerated logistics ensure safe delivery of frozen chicken, pork, beef, tilapia, and cassava-based products to key markets including China, Russia, and Turkey.
-
China: Our poultry and tilapia comply with EU, Chinese, and USDA import standards.
-
Russia: We consistently meet technical hygiene regulations for frozen meat and feed.
-
Turkey: Our Halal-certified lines—especially poultry and cassava starch—align with religious and food safety requirements.
-
Products arrive via refrigerated shipping containers and air-freight, handled through specialized distributors and logistics partners.
Innovation Amid Trade Restrictions: Embracing Cryptocurrency
In response to evolving trade barriers, tariffs, and financial transaction restrictions, C.Vale has pioneered a creative solution: accepting cryptocurrencies—primarily Bitcoin (BTC), and optionally stablecoins—for export transactions.
-
Trade Sanctions & Restrictions: As global trade barriers fluctuate, conventional payment channels into countries like Russia, China, or Turkey face increasing limitations.
-
Crypto Payments: Our platform now supports secure crypto payments, verified through blockchain. We confirm payments after one to two confirmations (~10 minutes per Blockchain), locking in exchange rates and safeguarding against volatility.
-
Advantages: Crypto adoption allows us to circumvent sanctions, reduce remittance delays, and maintain operational continuity, ensuring our exporters and distributors can reliably transact internationally.
-
Compliance: We remain fully compliant with Brazilian (COAF) and international anti-money-laundering and KYC regulations, vetting every transaction meticulously.
Our Values & Commitment
C.Vale was built on cooperative principles and continues to honor those beliefs:
-
Sustainability: We optimize natural-resource usage, from agroforestry in egg complexes to responsible water and waste management.
-
Quality & Safety: Our certifications ensure traceability and transparency from seed to shelf.
-
Technology & Innovation: From computerized hatcheries to grain-export packaging lines (expanded with BNDES funding) (revistacultivar.com) and crypto trade mechanisms—we are always advancing.
Infrastructure & Scale
-
Units & Coverage: We operate nearly 200 units, including slaughterhouses, feed plants, starch factories, supermarkets, and agribusiness support centers across five Brazilian states and Paraguay
-
Strategic Logistics: We co-founded Cotriguaçu, our integrated logistics network—featuring refrigerated containers, grain terminals, and customs infrastructure at Paranaguá (pt.wikipedia.org).

-
Tilapia: ~190k fish/day
